[기자] GLP(글루카곤 유사 펩타이드)-1 작용제는 당뇨병 치료에 사용되는 주사제로, 용량을 더 늘려 비만 치료에도 쓰입니다. 오젬픽과 위고비, 젭바운드 등으로 잘 알려져 있습니다. 미국 연구팀은 비만과 당뇨병을 함께 앓고 있는 환자들을 두 그룹으로 나눠 비교했습니다. 한 그룹은 GLP-1 약물을 복용했고 다른 그룹 환자들은 체중 감소와 관련 없는 당뇨병 약물을 복용했습니다. 두 그룹은 각각 8만5천 명씩입니다.
