Carbs and sugar or carbs mixed with protein raise insulin, but fat does not raise insulin. We do not need carbohydrates. A healthy diet should consist of fats and a moderate amount of proteins. A diabetic diet should have high quantities of fat. Sugar stimulates hunger, and you crave more food. 40 % of all heart diseases are related to excess sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels in control is a primary objective for a healthy body.
