Diabetes and other blood sugar related problems are among the most common health problems I see. Sugar increases insulin, which lowers the sugar in the blood and puts it in storage as fat. Carbs and sugar or carbs mixed with protein raise insulin, but fat does not raise insulin. We do not need carbohydrates. A healthy diet should consist of fats and a moderate amount of proteins. A diabetic diet should have high quantities of fat. Sugar stimulates hunger, and you crave more food. 40 % of all heart diseases are related to excess sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels in control is a primary objective for a healthy body.
