Buy Me A Coffee / Beer / Spliff – www.buymeacoffee.com/herbistry420 Cannabis Gummies for Dummies Part 5 | Texture & Substitutions | Herbistry420 Here is part 5 of our Gummies for Dummies Series. In this video we change the recipe slightly by substituting our emulsifier and adding some corn syrup to help give the gummies a better squish! I explain why you might substitute certain things and what their advantages would be when making gummies. If you make these without infusing them, then you would skip adding the Guar Gum or Lecithin. Note: if you are unsure of how to calculate dosage please check www.scientificedibles.com and use their edible calculator to figure out how much material to add for your desired potency. The general recipe I am using is: 2 Tbsp of Unflavoured Gelatine (Knox or Royal) 2 x 85 Gram Flavoured Gelatine Packets (ex: 3oz Packet of Jello or Royal) 2 Cups of Juice or Water (divided)(240ml) 1 tsp of Mold Inhibitor (I used Potassium Sorbate, but you can use Lemon Juice or LorAnn Mold Inhibitor) 1/2 Cup of Light Corn Syrup 1/8 tsp of Food Colouring (optional) (I'm guessing this measurement, in the end I used 4 squirts of the food coloring bottle) 2 tsp of Food Flavouring (optional) (LorAnn or FunCakes or whatever other brand of concentrated flavouring) 1.5 tsp of Guar Gum (can use Sunflower or Soy, Liquid or Granules) If Infusing, you can use up to 120ml of tincture (I used around 90ml in this recipe), or 1/2 cup of Cannabutter or CannaOil, or use concentrate to reach your desired potency. If not infusing; skip this and also exclude the Guar Gum (you only need that if infusing). #CBD #CBDunboxing #CBDreview PlusCBD Oil is one of the most experienced and respected American CBD brands. It’s an excellent choice if you’re looking for a high quality company. PlusCBD’s lineup includes the four most popular types of CBD products: oils, capsules & softgels, gummies, and topicals. Better yet, these products come in three different formulations: Raw, Total Plant Complex, and Gold. Our only complaint is that PlusCBD lacks high potency options and some popular product categories, such as vape e-liquids. Aside from this, the company goes above and beyond to provide high quality products. It uses premium Dutch hemp and extracts it with CO2, the most advanced method of CBD extraction. Whereas most brands only utilize third party testing, PlusCBD also tests all of its products in its in house lab. Better yet, it posts these results publicly and makes them easy to access. PlusCBD is also the first CBD company to achieve the FDA’s self-affirmed Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status. On top of that, it’s certified by the U.S. Hemp Authority, yet more proof that it adheres to the highest production standards. In terms of price, PlusCBD’s tinctures, capsules, and gummies cost anywhere from $0.08 to $0.26 per mg of CBD, which is higher than average. Its topicals are also priced higher than most similar products, with a cost of $0.12–0.56 per mg. Overall, these prices are not always cheap but still reasonable. MERRY JANE https://www.merryjane.com Dozens of states across the country are jockeying for the chance to become the 11th U.S. state to legalize recreational cannabis, and Hawaii and New Mexico have just moved closer to the top of the list. Last Thursday, a key Hawaii Senate committee unanimously approved a bill to legalize pakalolo – the local slang for weed. The bill would create a licensed and regulated retail market, with a pot sales tax of 15%, but sales would not be allowed to begin until February of 2021. Adults would also be allowed to grow their own weed and possess up to half an ounce. The bill has strong support among Hawaii lawmakers, but Governor David Ige is not as enthusiastic. Ige recently said that he is concerned that even though the federal government might allow the state to legalize, they might also prevent local pot businesses from transporting weed from one island to another. Also last week, New Mexico lawmakers advanced their own legalization bill. A state House committee just voted to approve a bill that would allow adults over 21 to possess up to two ounces of flower and 16 grams of extracts. What's more, the bill would create a fully regulated retail market and allow former pot offenders to clear their criminal records. Insiders believe that the bill has a good chance of passing the New Mexico House, but the state Senate has been traditionally less open to legal weed. Fortunately, new Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is firmly in favor of legalization, so the Land of Enchantment just might be in luck. Sometimes the changing tide of legalization ebbs and flows and just as the residents of New York are coming up in terms of thc legalization, the state is also cracking down on CBD. This January, the federal government officially legalized hemp and all hemp products, including CBD. Within days, CBD-infused edibles, drinks, oils, and lotions began to appear in every corner of New York City, from your corner bodega to the poshest shops in midtown. But while it is now legal to sell CBD on its own, the Food and Drug Administration still prohibits manufacturers from adding it to any foods or drinks – and now NYC officials are moving to enforce these rules locally. Last Tuesday, the city health department began confiscating CBD-infused drinks and foods from local restaurants and cafes. So far, 11 restaurants have specifically been ordered to stop adding CBD to food. New York is not alone in its decision – Maine and Ohio have also started cracking down on CBD products within the past couple of weeks. And in other news, luxury department store chain Barneys announced its plans to get in on the weed game by opening an upscale pot pop-up in its Beverly Hills flagship store. The new store, aptly titled The High End, will sell deluxe paraphernalia as well as select cannabis products from local pot producer Beboe. As you can guess by the name, The High End's products will cater to the wealthiest of customers. The store plans to offer gold rolling papers, hand-blown water pipes, designer horn lighters, and even a $1,475 sterling silver weed grinder. You’ll need some serious green to shop at this store! Emerging Developments in CBD Research

The world of cannabidiol (CBD) has witnessed significant attention over recent years, thanks largely to the growing interest in the medicinal and therapeutic properties of this compound derived from the cannabis plant. As researchers and the public alike have become more aware of CBD’s potential benefits, the scientific community has ramped up investigations into its effects on various health conditions. With recent breakthroughs continuing to reshape our understanding of CBD, it is crucial to explore these latest findings to grasp their implications fully. This article delves into three notable developments that highlight the evolving landscape of CBD research, providing insights into their potential impact on consumer health, industry practices, and regulations.

The initial breakthrough focuses on the potential neuroprotective properties of CBD, particularly in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. Ongoing research is revealing how CBD may influence neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, two key factors associated with neurodegenerative diseases. As scientists work to uncover the mechanisms at play, preliminary findings suggest that CBD could play a pivotal role in safeguarding brain health and offering novel therapeutic options for patients suffering from these debilitating conditions.

Another exciting development surrounds CBD’s relationship with mental health disorders, particularly anxiety and depression. Recent studies indicate that CBD may help modulate mood and anxiety responses, making it a potential alternative treatment for individuals who struggle with conventional therapies. The implications of this research extend beyond just anxiety relief, promising a holistic approach to mental health that may also reduce the dependency on pharmaceuticals that can lead to adverse side effects. Finally, the increasing legalization and acceptance of CBD in various markets worldwide are propelling innovative research into its safety and efficacy, further legitimizing its use in mainstream medicine.

As we navigate through these transformative advancements, the potential for CBD to revolutionize the treatment landscape is increasingly evident. However, the complexities surrounding regulation, dosing, and long-term effects must be carefully considered. This article will cover the three major breakthroughs in-depth, shedding light on the evolving understanding of CBD and its significance in the context of modern medicine.

The Neuroprotective Potential of CBD

Recent research has increasingly highlighted the neuroprotective properties of CBD, raising hopes for its applicability in treating neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Early studies have indicated that CBD may help reduce neuroinflammation, which is often a precursor to cognitive decline. By acting on the endocannabinoid system, CBD has shown a capacity to moderate neuroinflammatory responses, potentially slowing the progression of diseases that compromise brain function.

Furthermore, ongoing studies are investigating CBD’s ability to mitigate oxidative stress, a condition characterized by an excess of free radicals in the body that leads to cellular damage. This mechanism is particularly relevant to neurodegenerative diseases where oxidative stress is prevalent. Animal models have shown that administering CBD can lead to a marked decrease in oxidative markers, suggesting the possibility that it might protect neurons from damage and prolong their survival, further bolstering its neuroprotective claims.

The long-term implications of these findings could be transformative. If further research can establish a definitive scientific basis for the neuroprotective effects of CBD, it may lead to the development of new therapeutic protocols significantly improving the quality of life for those affected by neurodegenerative conditions. Furthermore, understanding CBD’s role within the brain’s biochemistry may unlock further avenues for research into its broader applications in cognitive health.

CBD and Mental Health: A Paradigm Shift

The relationship between CBD and mental health has been a focal point of research, particularly regarding conditions such as anxiety and depression. In recent years, numerous clinical trials have suggested that CBD might modulate the neurotransmitter systems involved in emotional regulation. Unlike conventional anti-anxiety medications, which can have debilitating side effects, CBD offers a promising alternative with a more favorable safety profile.

Research indicates that CBD interacts with serotonin receptors in the brain, which play a critical role in mood regulation. By facilitating serotonin activity, CBD may help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression, ultimately leading to improved mental health outcomes. Importantly, this effect has been observed in both human and animal studies, further strengthening the argument for CBD as a valuable intervention for mental health disorders.

The implications of these findings extend beyond individual treatment options. As mental health continues to gain recognition globally, the integration of CBD-based therapies could become a standard practice within mental health care paradigms. Not only could this lessen the burden of reliance on traditional pharmaceuticals, which often come with significant side effects, but it also paves the way for a more holistic approach to mental health that fosters well-being on multiple levels.

Regulatory Changes and Market Growth

As scientific research continues to validate the potential benefits of CBD, regulatory frameworks surrounding its use are evolving at a rapid pace. Many countries and states are grappling with how to legislate the production and sale of CBD products, leading to a patchwork of guidelines that can be challenging for consumers and producers alike. Notably, as more jurisdictions move toward legalizing CBD, the market’s growth trajectory is expanding, providing significant opportunities for innovation and investment.

This regulatory shift is crucial in establishing quality standards for CBD production. Increasingly, consumers are showing preference for products that undergo rigorous testing and adhere to safety protocols. Consequently, manufacturers are urged to comply with these regulations, ensuring that their products are not only effective but also safe for public consumption. Moreover, this trend is fostering an environment of transparency, allowing consumers to make informed choices.

As the market matures, consumer education is paramount. Robust regulatory frameworks will enhance public perception of CBD, and as more individuals become educated about its potential benefits and uses, demand will likely continue to rise. The future landscape of CBD will reflect sustained growth, marked by innovation in product development, enhanced safety protocols, and expanded research initiatives that drive new discoveries and applications.

Exploring the Therapeutic Benefits

The therapeutic potential of CBD continues to garner considerable attention, particularly regarding chronic pain management. Recent studies have indicated that CBD possesses anti-inflammatory properties that may play a role in alleviating pain caused by various conditions, including arthritis and multiple sclerosis. This presents an exciting frontier for those seeking alternative treatment options that minimize the reliance on traditional pain medications, which are often accompanied by significant side effects or risks of addiction.

Research has shown that CBD may interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which regulates pain sensation among various biological processes. By binding to receptors, CBD can influence pain perception and potentially provide relief for those suffering from chronic pain conditions. Furthermore, as studies continue to evaluate optimal dosing regimens, there is a growing interest in developing targeted CBD therapies that specifically address individual pain experiences.

<pThe expansion of therapeutic applications for CBD can lead to more personalized medicine approaches, allowing healthcare providers to tailor treatments to individual patient needs. As the body of evidence supporting CBD's efficacy grows, it may revolutionize the treatment landscape for chronic pain management and other conditions, providing patients with safer, more effective alternatives to traditional therapies.

Summarizing Key Insights and Future Directions

As we navigate the evolving landscape of CBD research, several key insights emerge highlighting the importance and potential impact of these breakthroughs. The neuroprotective effects of CBD could lead to significant advancements in treating neurodegenerative diseases, while its role in mental health presents a new pathway for those struggling with anxiety and depression. Furthermore, the regulatory landscape surrounding CBD is changing to provide consumers with better information and more reliable products.

It is essential to emphasize the need for continued research and dialogue within the scientific community to address the gaps in knowledge regarding CBD’s long-term effects and optimal usage guidelines. The promising results reported in recent studies call for comprehensive clinical trials that further elucidate the safety and efficacy of CBD in various therapeutic contexts. Each step forward provides greater understanding and opportunity for leveraging CBD’s therapeutic potential responsibly.

The broader implications for public health, consumer education, and professional practice must also be considered as we look toward the future. Cross-disciplinary efforts to facilitate research, support regulations, and increase awareness regarding the medicinal uses of CBD will shape the direction of this burgeoning field. As the therapeutic benefits become more widely recognized, we can anticipate a sustained demand for innovative products that meet standards reflective of their safety and efficacy.
